Over the last few years Miro has established more new forest area, on previously degraded land, than any other company on the African continent. In doing this Miro has planted well over 20 million trees, typically establishing more than 2.5 million per annum. Operating to FSC™* standards Miro has also enriched and protected over 10,000 hectares of conservation land in West Africa. As a result, Miro has demonstrated its capability to develop large new forest areas, economically, socially, and environmentally sustainably, at globally competitive cost.
Miro is therefore uniquely placed to develop and manage large-scale afforestation projects in Africa for the purposes of generating carbon credits for clients, and conservation. Miro is currently working with several clients in this respect, and we welcome additional enquiries.
